An elected member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honorary dental society dedicated to the promotion of academic excellence, he is also a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry. He has published various papers on the epidemiology of gum disease and the microorganisms associated with it. Twice he has been invited to present original research at the annual meeting of the International Association of Dental Research.
Before dental school Dr. McNabb studied painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and completed a B.A. in German and a B.S. in Basic Science at Fort Hays State University in central Kansas. He then completed his degree in Medical Technology, through a residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, and was registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathology. He worked as a clinical microbiologist at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston , Texas.
Always fascinated by different cultures, Dr. McNabb has lived, studied and taught abroad several times. He speaks both German and Spanish.
